1. Agreement to These Terms
These Terms of Service govern your use of the website thelaidofflaunchpad.com, the course platform at courses.thelaidofflaunchpad.com, and any program, community, or live session offered by The Laid Off Launchpad ("we," "us," "our").
By purchasing a program or using our site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. What You Are Purchasing
The Laid Off Launchpad is an educational program. Depending on the tier you purchase, you may receive:
- Access to self-paced course content, including video, written lessons, and downloadable worksheets.
- Access to bonus modules and resource guides (Launchpad+ tier).
- Access to a private members-only community (Launchpad+ tier).
- Access to live group Q&A sessions held on a recurring schedule (Launchpad+ tier).
Live sessions are group sessions, not one-on-one coaching. We may reschedule or occasionally cancel a session; we will make reasonable efforts to notify members in advance.
3. No Guarantee of Employment
This is important, so we want it stated plainly.
While The Laid Off Launchpad provides you with tools, strategies, and support to identify your career goals and pursue them confidently, it does not guarantee that you will secure your dream job, or any job. Success depends on many factors, including individual effort, market conditions, and timing.
What we can commit to is this: by the end of this program, you will have the clarity, actionable steps, and mindset needed to navigate your job search effectively.
Any examples, case studies, or testimonials describe individual experiences. They are not a promise or projection of the results you will achieve.
4. Your Account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Accounts are for a single person. You may not share, sell, or transfer your login to anyone else.
We may suspend or terminate an account that we reasonably believe is being shared, or that is being used in violation of these terms, without refund.
5. Intellectual Property and Acceptable Use
All course content, including videos, written lessons, worksheets, templates, frameworks, and community materials, is the intellectual property of The Laid Off Launchpad and is protected by copyright.
When you purchase a program, you receive a limited, personal, non-transferable license to access and use that content for your own career development.
You may not:
- Copy, reproduce, republish, or distribute the course content.
- Record, screenshot, or share live sessions.
- Resell, sublicense, or repackage any part of the program.
- Use the content to create a competing course, coaching offer, or product.
- Share your account access with anyone else.
6. Community Conduct
Our community exists so that people going through a layoff can be honest with each other. To keep it that way, members agree to:
- Treat other members with respect.
- Keep what is shared in the community confidential. Members will discuss salaries, employers, and personal circumstances candidly, and that only works if it stays in the room.
- Refrain from pitching, recruiting, spamming, or selling to other members.
- Refrain from harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior of any kind.
We may remove content or remove a member from the community for violating these standards.
7. The Do-The-Work Guarantee
We want you to try this without risk.
Go through Module 1 and complete the activities. If the program isn't for you, email us at jeni@thelaidofflaunchpad.com within 14 days of purchase with your completed worksheets, and we will refund you in full.
To be eligible for a refund under this guarantee:
- Your request must be made within 14 days of your original purchase date.
- You must include your completed Module 1 activity sheets (the Emotional Reset, the Opportunity Statement, and your Layoff Story).
- The request must come from the email address used to purchase.
Refunds are issued to the original payment method. If you purchased the Launchpad+ tier or added the Launchpad+ upgrade at checkout, note that these are processed as separate transactions and will be refunded separately.
Outside of this guarantee, all sales are final.
8. Payment
Prices are listed in U.S. dollars. Payment is processed at checkout through our payment provider. By completing a purchase, you authorize us to charge the payment method you provide.
We may change our prices at any time. A price change will not affect a purchase you have already completed.
9. Not Professional Advice
The Laid Off Launchpad provides career education and strategy. It does not provide legal, financial, tax, medical, or mental health advice. Nothing in the program should be relied on as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional.
If you are struggling with your mental health, please reach out to a licensed professional.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Laid Off Launchpad and Jeni Golomb will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of or related to your use of our website, courses, or community, including but not limited to lost income, lost opportunities, or lost profits.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the program will not exceed the amount you paid us for that program.
11. Service Availability
We rely on third-party platforms to deliver our courses and community. We do not guarantee that the site or platform will be available without interruption, and we are not liable for outages or technical issues caused by those platforms.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, particularly the intellectual property and community conduct sections. You may stop using the program at any time.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "last updated" date above. Your continued use of the program after a change means you accept the updated terms.
14. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
